National Assembly Amends Constitutional Laws


The National Assembly has approved the amendments to the constitution Thursday changing from 2/3 to 50% plus one votes of the entire members of parliament in order to form a government, passing with 96 of 97 votes. Opposition party leader Sam Rainsy says that his party is the initiative of this change. This passage will help form a government after an election without a deadlock.
