Mr. Sam Rainsy Met Activists For Suggestions For Government

Opposition party leader met with the freedom march participants that begins Saturday at the Vath Phnom in Phnom Penh to Udong mountain in a 30 miles plus march for the freedom of expression and non-violence societies.

There are hundreds of people and buddhist monks marching to ask the government to abolish the using of penal code for defamation charges, and for the leadership from all political parties to have a dialogue.

Mr. Sam Rainsy told reporters at the place where the freedom march ends Monday that he is happy that there is no violence and that the Khmers are unified.

Cambodia Center for Human Rights' (CCHR) director Kem Sokha says that this is a victory for the human rights activists and democracy advocates.
