Mr. Sam Rainsy Appeals to the King Not to Sign Supplemental Treaty

Opposition party leader Sam Rainsy appeals to King Sihamoni not to sign the supplemental border treaty wich Prime Minister Hun Sen signed with Vietnam on October 10.

In a letter from France, Mr. Sam Rainsy told the King that his King Father always thinks about national interest and Cambodia territorial sovereignty.

Mr. Keo Remy, opposition party legislator said that Mr. Sam Rainsy has the right to appeal to the King, since he represents civil society even when he resides abroad.

He said that Cambodian Kings usually think about Cambodia's sovereignty. He added that King Sihamoni might follow his father's footsteps.
