Members of the Sam Rainsy Party (SRP) on Wednesday appeal to the top leaders of the three branches of the government to allow their jailed colleague Cheam Channy to temporarily stay outside of the military prison due to his heart condition.
Keo Remy asked Prime Minister Hun Sen, National Assembly President Norodom Ranariddh, and President of Supreme Court Dith Monty to have mercy on Cheam Channy.
Keo Remi also said that even though this is a legal case, he still asked the 3 men for mercy.
He said that he himself will guarantee for Mr. Channy's safety.
So far, there is no response from the three leaders yet.
Military court's investigative judge Paok Pon said that his investigation into this case is not finished yet.
