Citizens, Governments Determine ‘Evolution’ of Asean Rights Declaration

The Asean Human Rights Declaration passed in Phnom Penh last year despite strong criticism from rights groups and the US, who called it sub-standard and a potential threat to the region’s rights gains. Katherine Southwick, an international law consultant, told VOA Khmer’s Soeung Sophat that she believes the declaration is an ‘evolving’ document that can be improved, in this segment of “SoutheastAsia Corner.”
